Details Announced for Inaugural Six Shooter Showdown at Dodge City Raceway Park

DODGE CITY, Kan. -- Race fans in Southwestern Kansas shouldn't have to wait too long before the first big event of 2010.

The Inagural Six Shooter Showdown will roll into town on Friday & Saturday May 7-8, 2010. The event features the Midwest DIRTcar Late Model Series and the Colorado Late Model Association DIRTcar Series squaring off for the first time ever on the lightning fast 3/8 mile state of the art facility.

DIRTcar Racing Announces Sanctioning Of MDLMS in 2010

CONCORD, NC – March 8, 2010 – The Midwest Dirt Late Model Series (MDLMS) will carry the sanctioning of DIRTcar Racing in 2010, officials from the two organizations have announced.

Renamed the Midwest DIRTcar Late Model Series, the Wichita, Kans.-based tour will focus on full-fender competition at tracks in the Kansas/Oklahoma area. It will feature several co-sanctioned events with the Colorado Late Model Association DIRTcar Series, which will also run under the DIRTcar banner for the first time this season.

Alternative Pest Management Comes On-Board for 2010!

Starting in 2010 the MidwestDirt Late Model Series will offer a cash dash at every event courtesy of Alternative Pest Management.

The Derby, Kansas based company will offer $125 to the winner of the cash dash. The format for the dash will include the 5 cars furthest away from home racing 5 laps for the cash prize. The starting order will be determined by kids in the crowd who will then cheer for the 5 cars with the kid picking the winner getting a prize and a picture with the cash dash winner.
