MDLMS to ROAR into HRP on August 14

The Midwest DIRTcar Late Model Series will make their inaugural appearance at the Hutchinson Raceway Park in Hutchinson, Kansas on Saturday August 14.

The event, being promoted by MD Promotions, will be race #8 on the 2010 tour and will mark the first appearance by Late Models at the 3/8 mile oval in 3 years.

Fulton Picks Up Hometown Win at Thunderbird


After a seven year hiatus Late Model racing finally returned to the Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Oklahoma on July 10 with a hometown hero picking up the big win on the historic half mile.

Greg Skaggs jumped out to an early lead at the start of the 25 lap feature event followed by Missouri's Don Cloyd. Justin Fulton also moved into the third spot and quickly worked around Cloyd. A quick series of yellows at the start shuffled the running order, allowing Alternative Pest Management Cash Dash winner Bryan Sugg to close in as well.

Fortney Captures First Win at Brill's

A full moon, 100 degrees, and a big group of spectators provided many thrills on June 26 as the Midwest DIRTcar Late Model Series visited Brill's Motor Speedway for the first time ever.

And the night also ended with a driver in Victory Lane for the very first time in his career.

No Racing May 22; Brill Up Next June 26

Just a reminder that there is no racing tonight for the MDLMS at Mid-America Speedway. The race will be rescheduled with a date to be announced. Our next race is June 26 at Brill Motor Speedway.
 

Johnson Grabs Mystifying Win at Minneapolis

On a misty and foggy evening at the Minneapolis Raceway Missouri driver Matt Johnson made the long tow pay off with a big win in the Midwest DIRTcar Late Model Serie's first visit in 2010.

Johnson drew the outside pole position for the feature event after a second place finish in his heat race. He quickly jumped to the lead, beating Nebraskan Jerry Warner on the start. Johnson checked out quickly while Warner, Delbert Smith, and Mike Wiarda stage a great battle for second. The first yellow came out on lap 7 for Tyler Gottschalk.
